Connection-Based Parenting Support in Sheffield & Matlock
Using the Hand in Hand Parenting approach
Parenting can stretch you in ways nothing else does.
You may find yourself reacting in ways you don’t like.
Caught in repeating conflicts.
Feeling unsure how to respond to big emotions, anxiety, defiance, or meltdowns.
You don’t need to be in therapy to seek parenting support.
This is a distinct service focused on practical, compassionate tools to strengthen connection and reduce stress at home.
I am trained in the approach developed by Hand in Hand Parenting, which understands children’s behaviour through the lens of emotional release and nervous system regulation.
Together, we explore:
What may be driving your child’s behaviour
How stress shows up in both children and parents
Tools to build cooperation and emotional safety
Ways to respond calmly rather than react
How to support your own emotional resilience
This work is supportive, practical, and empowering — not diagnostic or pathologising.
Sessions are available in Sheffield (Nether Edge, S7), Matlock, and online.
🌿 How This Differs From Therapy
Is This Therapy?
Parenting support is different from counselling.
While therapy focuses on your personal emotional experience and healing, parenting sessions focus primarily on:
Understanding your child’s needs
Strengthening the parent-child relationship
Developing tools and strategies for everyday challenges
Some parents later choose to explore personal therapy as well — but it isn’t required.
